My Story

This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Today’s ride 40km near the new airport was enough to meet my 500km target with a week to spare. Tough conditions today. But glad i did ride.

1st commercial plane left when I was in area. But I didn’t notice it. Had a good look at the airport and associated infrastructure yesterday. It is very impressive. And it’s surprising less than 45 minutes from home.

Anyway important to complete distance target, and exceeded donations earlier in week. Thanks all who have donated . Much appreciated.

Long Ride

My long ride for week done. The cycling routes from Wylde MTB & BMX are excellent. Getting back into outdoor riding after 3rd road accident was a set back. And these roads along the vast road network are safe, good surfaces, and well away from cars. All positives.
